I was disappointed with the turnout in general.
I dunno about how permitting may have effected it, but it seems to me that holding it in a location so close to residential lofts was the most detrimental thing.
Most "industrial" locations are far enough away from folks trying to sleep that we don't bother anyone.
I can't blame the folks living next door if they were pissed about the noise.
Bummer, too, because the space was really great.

i'm sad that there's no pics of burners without borders stuff on the web yet, just our awesome volunteers ;-)
the event lost money btw.....getting shut down with a group of people waiting to get in is just no fun.
i'm wondering if getting all of the permits and doing it the right way made us more likely to be shut down? -

Mon, May 12, 2008 - 3:13 PMcristina, you sold pieces and got press for it, so it's all worth it! i think many people were sad that they chose to come so late....it would've been better to get everyone there by 11.
we ran into a photographer late that night who talked about the amazing decor at the event, felt as if it was done by professionals.
